Greater Birmingham Humane Society Lawsuit in Business Insider
A lawsuit by the Greater Birmingham Humane Society was featured in Business Insider magazine.
The organization’s lawsuit says the AI Mega Factory being built by Nebius could deprive it of the full use of its property, which was purposefully designed to create a quiet, peaceful setting for animals to be socialized and made ready for adoption.
The magazine reported the Nebius AI Factory would sit just 160 feet from the humane society’s animal welfare campus and outdoor rehabilitation areas.
Allison Black Cornelius, the president and CEO of the GBHS, said in a statement:
“This case is not about whether data centers should exist. It is about whether a project of this size and character should move forward in this location without the legal questions surrounding its approval first being resolved.”
